Rev. ext. univ. [online]. 2022, n.17, pp.8-8. ISSN 2346-9986.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.14409/extension.2022.17.jul-dic.e0022.

From the Group What do we talk about when we talk about Chagas? (Civil Association “Hablemos de Chagas”) for more than ten years we have been developing a particular approach to the Chagas problem. With a comprehensive and innovative perspective, we promote extension, education and communication proposals in diverse contexts. With this paper we intend to give an account of the first steps in the territory of the CaleidoCHAGAS exhibition. The experience was carried out in May 2022 in a secondary school of the National University of La Plata, where we tested a “kaleidoscopic, interactive and itinerant” exhibition. The general assessment by the students was positive and we were also able to obtain guidelines to improve it. From the experience we learn that CaleidoCHAGAS is a proposal that provides elements to reflect on the problem in a multidimensional and situated way, enriching the understanding of the subject and helping to denaturalise myths and prejudices.

Palavras-chave : Chagas; kaleidoscopic look; university extension; public communication of sciences; itinerant and interactive exhibition.
