This article approaches the main teachings and challenges associated with the validation processes of accessibility tools within the framework of a Comprehensive Training Space of the Interdisciplinary Communication and Accessibility Nucleus of the University of the Republic of Uruguay. A conceptual journey is presented, establishing points of contact between communication and the exercise of human rights from the university extension. Likewise, the variables that affect the validation processes of accessibility tools are analyzed, understood as collaborative organizations for the adaptation of communicational contents. To conclude, reflections are raised on extension practices, communication and accessibility around the construction of citizenship, reflection processes on daily practices and the recognition of diversity as an opportunity.
