In Corpus, Jean-Luc Nancy conceives the body as the beyond -surplus or limit- of meaning; the existence of all existences that touch the edges of meaning; being-with, plural in its singularity or singular in its plurality, which exposes itself in the incorporeal of saying -of discourse, of writing, of language. To write the body would be, then, to underline its intrinsic elusiveness; to point out that, where it appears inscribed, there is a remainder which can only be suggested as absent. I aim to think of this gesture in the set of poems by Hugo Mujica, María Rosa Lojo and Enrique Solinas, regardless of whether, in them, there are not enough elements to suggest, with Nancy, that the being-excribed is, indeed, the body. In these compositions, however, corporeality appears to be implied to indicate that the written body is the site of an absence - intimate, constitutive - that can only be embraced as such.
