Rhagovelia novana Drake, Microvelia mimula White (Veliidae), and Metrobates plaumanni plaumanni Hungerford (Gerridae) are recorded for the first time from Uruguay; new records of the species already known from this country are added. Herewith the number of species known to occur in Uruguay is three of Veliidae and three of Gerridae.
