LAZARTE, José E.; AVILA, Julio C.; FOGLIATA, Ana S.  e  GIANFRANCISCO, Miguel. Evolved granites related to tin-tungsten mineralization in the western Sierras Pampeanas. Ser. correl. geol. [online]. 2006, vol.21, n.1, pp.75-103. ISSN 1666-9479.

Geologic characteristics and the mineralization associated of La Quebrada, Quimivil, Papachacra and El Salto granites are reviewed. All of them are of evolved type, belonging to the igneous complex of the Westrern Sierras Pampeanas. Geochemical characters of this bodies are analyzed, in a comparative way. It is found that there are relationships among four features in the studied granites: evolution degree, Sn-W mineralizatión, aluminousity degree and tectonic setting. It is also observed that evolution degree and fertility are always related. It is concluded that, features like high contents of Y, Th and U are related to deep source of magma, characteristic of a post orogenic stage. Deep magmatism can contribute incompatible elements but it doesn't influence in the mean mineralizatión, although mineralizations of rare elements can also take place in the late stage.
