It is proposed an approach to the people who lived from the general supply of food which was necessary to supply the troops designated to Colonia del Sacramento Siege, from 1735 to 1737. Analysing these suppliers, this will give an answer to some questions around the actors involved: Who are they?; how many are they?; what percentage do they represent into the population of the River Plate Basin Dock Complex at that moment?; are they specialized suppliers in only one good?; or, do they change their supplies?; are they straight suppliers or "middlemen" between the straight suppliers and the consignees of the goods?; what economical impact do their supplies have into the total expenses of the Siege and in comparison with the local economy of the River Plate Basin Dock Complex?; this way, it will be working on the study of the socio-economical structure of the River Plate Basin at that moment, paying special attention to these sectors: middle and/or low. The detailed account of the Colonia del Sacramento Expedition General Supplier, offers an invaluable access door to these problems, since through hundreds of registers, it is possible to establish: what was bought, who provided it, how "that" that was bought arrived at destination and all the rest of the elements that invite to think in a richer and more complex world of production and circulation than the one known up to nowadays through the great trade.
