MARMOLEJO, Gustavo-Adolfo; SANCHEZ, Nathaly  e  LONDONO, Steven. Conocimiento visual de los educadores al promover el estudio de la relación perímetro-área. Rev. electrón. investig. educ. cienc. [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.2, pp.1-14. ISSN 1850-6666.

This written is part of a group of studies that consider the development of the visualization as information processing and the construction of the area, including its relationship with other magnitudes, such as a place of reflection.  The text contrasts the visual knowledge of three groups of educators (in training, in practice-not specialized in maths and in practice-specialized in maths), through of their teaching designs for the study of the relation between perimeter vs area. The concepts of content knowledge were assumed as categories of analysis (Gonzato, Godino, and Neto, 2011), visual dynamism (Author and González, 2017), and congruence (Duval, 1999). It concludes that the teaching proposals help to discriminate limiting in the educators, which promote the development of visualization, among others. Likewise, it includes tasks that simultaneously help and hinder the visual development and it does not favor decisive visual actions or explanation of issues that sustain connections with advanced topics.

Palavras-chave : Geometry and measurement; Characterization of behaviors; Visual discrimination.
