This contribution intends to build a position towards knowledge based on the dialogue of knowledge when its content is communication, within the framework of the integrality of university functions. In this context, the construction of a “we” is recognized as necessary as a relating moment of one’s own subjectivity before the encounter with “others”. A series of possible epistemological obstacles that could condition it in teaching, research and extension practices are enunciated.
