The paper presents the activities of the chair of Sociology and Extension, of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of the Littoral, in relation to its teaching, extension and research activities, with the aim of linking this process in the light of the concept of integral functions. By reflecting on the work carried out in conjunction with the public health system of the city of Esperanza, in different devices of extension, teaching and research, the integrality of functions in said action is problematized. Through the analyzed route, it is intended to contribute to the reflection on actions of integrality. The article concludes with the achievements achieved in this process, and the remaining challenges.
