This article analyzes an action promoted by the State of Santa Fe to attend to the development of indigenous teachers in the province. The discursive and effective place assigned in the curriculum to Spanish and to the Qom and Mocoví indigenous languages ​​is described, and this study investigates the causes that allow to explain the apparent hegemony of Spanish in a proposal whose project appeals to a linguistic objective aimed at refunctionalizing indigenous languages ​​in the sphere of education. The corpus is made up of interviews, informal conversations and records of participant observations obtained in the framework of an ethnographic and multi-situated investigation carried out between the years 2016 and 2020 within the framework of a doctoral research.
