Intersecciones en Comunicación is a free semiannual publication in digital version ISSN 2250-4184 (online version)  edited by the Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Its objective is to publish original works on  Social Communication, Communication and Information Sciences, Journalism and related disciplines that are evaluated through the double-blind external referral system . No Article Processing Charges (APCs) are charged at any stage of the editing or submission process. The authors will also not receive any type of monetary compensation from the journal. Unpublished articles that are not simultaneously published in other journals are published (up to 20 pages including tables, graphs and figures). The published content is aimed at researchers, teachers, undergraduate and graduate students.

Intersecciones en Comunicación maintains its commitment to Open Access policies to scientific information. The authors retain the copyright and grant the journal the right to first publish the work simultaneously under the  Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial Share Alike 4.0 International License  that allows sharing the work with recognition of its initial publication in Intersections in Communication. In addition, it adheres to the  DORA declaration , and its proposal improves the form of scientific evaluation. The journal has preservation policies for digital documents once they are put online through the Repositorio Institucional Digital de Acceso Abierto RIDAA de la Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires and in  ROAD (Repository of open access academic resources)
