Mundo agrario is a quarterly electronic journal on rural issues in their social, economic, political and cultural aspects, which publishes original and unpublished articles, communications, bibliographic reviews and a section intended to debate a specific topic. This space opens from rural history to the set of agrarian social studies (sociology, anthropology, geography). Although the magazine will privilege Argentine and Latin American agrarian issues, it will be open to themes coming from other geographies, thereby promoting development. from a comparative perspective on the topics it covers.

Mundo agrario, which first appeared in 2000, was created with the aim of opening a new space for the dissemination of research and the debate of ideas around rural history. It is currently edited by the Centro de Historia Argentina y Americana del Instituto de Investigaciones en Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales, belonging to the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata and the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas

The journal is published in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French as long as it is the author's mother tongue.

Its contents are available in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International  License on its own site, in the institutional repositories of the UNLP ( SEDICI and  Memoria Academica ( http://www.memoria.fahce.unlp.edu. ar ) and in scientific databases and repositories.

Frequency: quarterly (april-july, august-november y december-march).

Mundo Agrario  is published under the  Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License . You can share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform and create another work from the material), provided that: a) the authorship and the original source of its publication are cited (magazine, publisher and URL of the work); b) is not used for commercial purposes; c) the same license terms are maintained.

Issues prior to 2019 were published as indicated, under Creative Commons Attribution-NonComercial-SinDerivadas 2.5 Argentina license and Creative Commons Attribution-NonComercial-ShareAlike 3 license .

The transfer of non-exclusive rights implies authorization by the authors for the work to be deposited in the institutional repositories of the UNLP ( SEDICI and Memoria Academica ) and disseminated through the databases that the editors consider appropriate for its indexing, with a view to increasing the visibility of the publication and its authors.

Our institution promotes and supports the open access movement to scientific-academic literature. Its editions have no charges for the author or the reader, encouraging authors to deposit their contributions in other institutional and thematic repositories, with the certainty that culture and knowledge are a good for everyone

Data availability policy

Mundo Agrario promotes the transparency and reproducibility of published research so that other researchers can replicate the studies described in their articles, either to corroborate or refute the results obtained, in accordance with the provisions of National Law 26,899. of open access institutional digital repositories . Research data submitted to this publication must be made available in SEDICI in order to increase compliance with FAIR principles .

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in SEDICI, or any other research data repository (such as FigShare, Mendeley Data or Zenodo ), before submitting the contribution to the journal. In this way, when submitting the article, only the URL where the research data is located should be indicated.

Authors are requested to use formats that maximize the accessibility and reusability of the data (for example, if using tabular data, it is suggested to use a spreadsheet). If necessary, it is recommended to publish, along with the data, the algorithms or treatments (pipelines) that must be carried out on said data for their correct interpretation.
