The Electronic Journal of Investigation in Sciences Education is an electronic publication of the Nucleo de Investigacion en Educación en Ciencias y Tecnología (NIECYT) of the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas of the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (UNCPBA).

The main objective of this journal is spread educational researches in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, adopting a didactic, cognitive and epistemological perspective, jointing or emphasizing someone of them. REIEC publishes articles in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French.

The journal publishes only unpublished and arbitrated investigations. The articles should study the learning process, the conditions for its accomplishment in different fields of the scientific knowledge as well as the genesis and construction of personal and social meanings from diverse theoretical and methodological frameworks. In addition, the REIEC would be a place of meeting to sciences teachers and researchers in science education, improving communications between authors and readers.

The title is abbreviated as Rev. electrón. Investig. educ. cienc. (En línea), and this should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, legends and bibliographical references.  

REIEC ratifies the Open Access model in which scientific publications are made freely available at no cost online, with no time embargos and with no publication costs transferred to the authors. This policy seeks to dismantle the economic barriers that have created inequalities in the access to both information and the ability to publish investigation results.
